Former Chief Minister N Biren Singh, along with BJP state president A Sharda Devi, led a massive Tiranga Rally at Luwangsangbam in Imphal East on Thursday to mark India’s 79th Independence Day.
The rally commenced from N Biren Singh’s residence and witnessed enthusiastic participation from residents, BJP workers, and people from various communities, including supporters from the Heingang Assembly constituency. The procession moved through Khabam Lamkhai before returning to its starting point, creating a vibrant display of patriotism and unity.
Speaking to the media, N Biren Singh highlighted the significance of national unity and pride in being Indian. He said initiatives like the Har Ghar Tiranga campaign play a key role in promoting patriotism across generations and bringing citizens together under the banner of “One Nation, One India.” He also touched upon the progress Manipur has achieved in recent years and stressed that continuous efforts are needed to further strengthen the state and the nation.
The rally saw active participation from BJP leaders, office bearers, and karyakartas, reflecting widespread support for the campaign. The event concluded successfully, leaving behind a strong message of national pride, unity, and collective responsibility toward building a stronger India.
