Former Chief Minister N. Biren Singh led a patriotic rendition of Vande Mataram at the BJP Head Office, Imphal, to mark 150 glorious years of Bankim Chandra Chatterjee’s timeless composition. The event was joined by BJP Manipur State President A. Sharda Devi, Rajya Sabha MP Maharaja Leishemba Sanajaoba, senior party members, and a large number of BJP Karyakartas.
The commemoration celebrated the historical and emotional significance of Vande Mataram, a song that has long symbolised the spirit of India’s freedom, unity, and pride. The atmosphere at the BJP Head Office was charged with patriotic fervour as the leaders and Karyakartas came together to sing the national hymn in unison.
The programme also featured a collective pledge reaffirming the values of patriotism and dedication to the nation. Party leaders described the occasion as a moment of reflection on India’s cultural and spiritual strength, rooted in the ideals of devotion to the motherland.
