The former Lok Sabha MP (Outer Manipur) Dr. Lorho S. Pfoze officially joined the National People’s Party (NPP) on Tuesday, and he was formally welcomed into the NPP family by NPP leader and Meghalaya CM Conrad K. Sangma in Shillong.
The former MP, Dr. Lorho, who earlier resigned from the primary and active membership of the Naga People’s Front (NPF) citing personal reasons, was elected in the 17th Lok Sabha election in May 2019.
Welcoming him into the party fold, the NPP leader and Meghalaya CM Conrad Sangma wrote, “Dr. Lorho will be an asset to the party and will work closely to further NPP’s mantra of One Voice, One North East.”
Dr. Lorho, from Mao of Manipur, was a doctor by profession before joining politics and, during his tenure, he was a member of various high-level consultative committees constituted by the Government.
