July 5, 2025: Mizoram has seen a rise in drug trafficking in recent times, with an increasing number of women being apprehended with contraband substances.
On Friday, four individuals, including two women, were apprehended by the Assam Rifles in Lunglei district with Heroin No. 4 worth ₹81.81 lakhs.
The recovered narcotics and the apprehended individuals were handed over to the Excise and Narcotics Department, Lunglei, for further investigation and legal proceedings.
