March 25, 2025: The Manipur Police arrested four KCP (PWG) members from different places. Two were arrested and brought by a team of Manipur Police from the Gorchuk area, Kamrup Metropolitan District, Guwahati, and the other two from the Wangoi area of Manipur.
The two brought from Guwahati yesterday were involved in recruitment for the outfit, identified as Meishnam Bungomacha Singh alias Lakpa of Haotak Tampha Khunou, Wangoo Keirap Moirang, Bishnupur District, and Tekcham Ibomcha Singh (42) of Pukhao Laipham Makha Leikai, Pukhao Ahallup, Imphal East, according to the police.
The other two, arrested from the Wangoi Laxmi Bazaar area while trying to extort money, are identified as Sarangthem Dinesh (26) and Sanasam Malemnganbi Chanu (23) from Wangoi Laxmi Bazaar under Wangoi Police Station, Imphal West District.
