March 25, 2025 : In a heartfelt move to assist students affected by ongoing unrest in Manipur, political activist Sapamcha Kangleipal has launched a free Computer Literacy Program at his residence in Nongada, Imphal East.
The initiative aims to provide much-needed digital skills to Class X and XII students, many of whom are awaiting their results and facing uncertainty due to the prolonged conflict.
Kangleipal’s initiative is particularly significant at a time when the education system has been disrupted by unrest, leaving students with fewer opportunities to pursue their academic and career aspirations.
Recognizing this challenge, the program will run in two daily batches, ensuring that as many students as possible can benefit from this opportunity to improve their digital literacy.
In an effort to make the program accessible, Kangleipal has pledged to cover the travel expenses for all participants, ensuring that financial constraints do not prevent students from taking part.
During the launch event, he stressed the importance of empowering the youth, stating, “This is not just about teaching computer skills; it’s about providing hope and guidance to students who might feel disconnected or lost due to the difficult circumstances around them.”
The free program is seen as a much-needed step towards ensuring that students, despite the turmoil surrounding them, can gain valuable skills and broaden their prospects for the future.
