A one-day free eye screening and cataract surgery camp was organised on Saturday at Khangabok Sorok Wangma Community Hall, Thoubal district, by Shija Eye Care Foundation in collaboration with Seven Star Youth Club and other local organisations under the National Programme for Control of Blindness (NPCB) and the National Health Mission. The camp aimed to provide eye care services to the community.
At the camp, cataract screening, treatment for diabetic eye problems, glaucoma screening, eye pressure check-ups, general eye check-ups, and other services were offered.
Moreover, free eye drops and medicines were also distributed.
