From Airport to Hill Districts, Manipur Rolls Out Massive Vigilance Week Drive

Manipur’s Vigilance and Anti-Corruption Department launched an extensive state-wide campaign as part of Vigilance Awareness Week 2025, observed nationwide from October 27 to November 2 under the theme “Vigilance: Our Shared Responsibility.”

The observance in Manipur was guided by the Chief Vigilance Commissioner.

Officials said the week began with the Integrity Pledge administered by the Chief Secretary at the Manipur Secretariat, followed by staff-level e-pledges and public awareness displays across Imphal West, Imphal East, and other district headquarters.

A major outreach drive was conducted at Imphal International Airport in partnership with the Airports Authority of India, while senior officers also led teams to multiple police stations, namely Porompat, Andro, Sekmai, Kakching, Nambol, Moirang, Lamphel, Lilong, and Thoubal, to interact with personnel and spread awareness.

Dedicated teams were sent to hill districts to distribute pamphlets and display banners. A cycle rally held on November 1, flagged off at Khuman Lampak and concluding at the Vigilance Office Complex, saw certificates awarded to all participants.

The week also featured an interaction programme with a registered co-operative society and friendly football matches involving Team Vigilance.
