Kangpokpi witnessed a full-scale dress rehearsal for the 79th Independence Day celebration at Brigadier Thomas Ground. The parade, led by the Parade Commander and senior district officials, included personnel from the state police, army, ICDS, CMO, and students from various schools and colleges, demonstrating coordination, discipline, and readiness for the main event.
The rehearsal also featured a solemn ceremony of floral tributes at the Conference Hall of the DC on Patriots’ Day, honoring the sacrifices of the state’s freedom fighters. Officials from different departments, including SDOs, SDPOs, and DLOs, contributed to the smooth conduct of the program, setting the stage for a memorable Independence Day celebration.
