March 25, 2025 : The funeral of the 10-year-old girl Mandeihkim, who is suspected to have been raped and murdered near a relief camp on 20th of March, was held today at Lanva TD Block Relief Camp and later laid to rest at Zomi Youth Association cemetery in Churachandpur.
Bidding the final adieu, her friends and classmates’ breakdown in tears and offered floral tributes to body wrapped in traditional shawls.
The 10-year-old girl, residing at Lingsiphai, Lanva TD Block, was found death on March 20, 2025 after she was went missing from 6: 30 of that day. The Zomi Mothers’ Association (ZMA) and Young Vaiphei Association (YVA), in the strongest terms, have condemned the inhuman murder of a 10-year-old minor girl, Mandeihkim and demanded the authority to nab the culprit.
