A new pre-primary school was inaugurated at the Ramakrishna Mission’s Babupara campus in Imphal West on Saturday, with Governor of Manipur Ajay Kumar Bhalla formally opening the facility as part of the Mission’s 10th anniversary celebrations.
The newly established campus is expected to provide early education to over 180 children enrolled in Nursery, Lower Kindergarten and Upper Kindergarten. Following the inauguration, the Governor and First Lady Jyoti Bhalla visited the classrooms and held interactions with teaching and non-teaching staff.
During the event, the Governor also released the school magazine, highlighting the institution’s academic and co-curricular activities. Addressing the gathering, speakers emphasised the role of value-based education and the Mission’s contribution to social and educational development in the state.
The programme was attended by MLA Govindas Konthoujam, Swami Satyeshananda of the Ramakrishna Math and Mission, Swami Atmavikasananda, Secretary of Ramakrishna Mission Imphal, P. Dhanakumar, President of the Managing Committee, along with students, faculty members, members of the Mission, public representatives, and senior officials.
