Imphal: The 8th Session of the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly will commence on September 2, 2026, following an order issued by Governor Ajay Kumar Bhalla.
The Governor has summoned the session to meet at 11 am on Wednesday, September 2, at the Assembly Hall in Imphal, according to a notification issued by the Manipur Legislative Assembly Secretariat on Monday.
The order, dated August 14, 2026, was issued in exercise of the powers vested in the Governor under Article 174(1) of the Constitution of India, which provides for the summoning of the state legislature.
The upcoming sitting will mark the eighth session of the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly. The Assembly Secretariat issued the notification for general information on August 17.
