Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, who also serves as the Chairman of the Manipur State Kala Akademi (MSKA), chaired the annual Executive Board Meeting and the General Council Meeting of the Akademi at Raj Bhavan, Imphal. The session began with a one-minute silence in honour of the eminent artists and performers of the state who passed away in recent years.
During the meeting, key agenda items related to the administration and development of MSKA were thoroughly discussed. Emphasis was laid on strengthening initiatives to promote the rich art, culture, and literature of Manipur—not only within the state but also at the national and international levels. The meeting also took important decisions regarding the selection and distribution of the Akademi’s Annual Awards.
The meeting was attended by Commissioner (Home), Commissioner (Art & Culture), Secretary to the Governor, Secretary MSKA, and other members of the Executive Board.
