Governor of Manipur, Ajay Kumar Bhalla, inaugurated a 100-bedded Scheduled Caste (SC) Girls’ Hostel within the campus of Dhanamanjuri University today. The hostel, constructed under the supervision of the Manipur OBC & SC Development Society (MOBEDS), aims to provide a supportive environment for SC female students, fostering both academic and personal growth.
Following the inauguration, the Governor chaired a meeting at the University’s Administrative Block, focusing on enhancing student welfare and improving institutional efficiency. He urged university officials to prioritize the best interests of the students and assured that the Government would extend necessary support.
The Governor also visited various university departments and inspected the current infrastructure. The meeting was attended by H. Gyan Prakash, Commissioner of Higher & Technical Education, W. Chandbabu Singh, Vice-Chancellor of Dhanamanjuri University, and other senior university officials.
