JAN 23, 2025 (IMP): The State Government has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh to the next of kin of the deceased Mayanglangbam Rishikanta Singh (Ginminthang) (29), son of M. Tombi of Kakching Khunou Hijam Uchan Makhong Leikai, who was abducted and later shot dead by armed miscreants in the general area of Natjang Village, Churachandpur, on January 21.
The State Government also expressed its deepest condolences and shared the grief of the bereaved family, stating that the government is deeply concerned about the incident. This was said in a statement signed by the State Home Commissioner-cum-Secretary (Home), N. Ashok Singh.
