The State Transport Department, as per directives from the Ministry of Road Transport & Highways, has made it mandatory for all public transport vehicles to prominently display slogans on animal welfare within the State of Manipur, as well as on routes involving interstate transport. The initiative aims to promote compassion towards animals and ensure their safety on roads.
According to an order from the State Transport Department, the official slogans designated for display are available at all District Transport Offices (DTOs). Vehicle owners and organizations involved in public transport, including the Manipur State Transport, can obtain a copy of these slogans from their respective DTO.
The order further directed that slogans must be visibly affixed to the exterior of vehicles as per the prescribed guidelines.
