The General Headquarters of the Naga Army, the Government of the People’s Republic of Nagalim, has vehemently refuted allegations linking the NSCN to recent acts of violence in Manipur’s eastern border areas near Myanmar.

A statement addresses the alarming escalation of violence, specifically referencing the arson in Gampal and Haijang villages under Kamjong District.

The statement categorically condemns the unfounded speculations circulating on social media, stressing that the Naga Army bears no responsibility for the unfortunate incident.

Emphasising their commitment to truth, justice, and peace, the GPRN urges the public to refrain from succumbing to malicious disinformation and assures that the truth behind the incident will be uncovered in due course.

“We believe in the high ideals of truth, justice, and peace and we shall continue to work for the welfare and security of all communities living in Nagalim without any prejudices,” concludes the statement from Brig. Hetoshe-MSM, Director, PIB of the GPRN.
