Feb. 10, 2025: Tension gripped Khagempalli Huidrom Leikai this morning as a live hand grenade was discovered at the residence gate of Konjengbam Jiten, 57 years old. He is reported to be the nominee of Keishamthong MLA Nishikant Singh Sapam.
The alarming discovery, made around 7:30 am by a passerby, prompted swift police action.
Authorities swiftly responded to the scene following the report, recovering the grenade placed atop a piece of paper bearing names, including Konjengbam Jiten, Maibam Prafullo, and Sarat.
The threat suggests a possible link to a monetary demand, sparking widespread condemnation from local residents.
