Heavy Traffic, Too Narrow Street? Manipur Fire Services to have QRT Bike-borne Fighter

In sync with the times, the Manipur Fire Service is all set to have its own bike-borne QRT (Quick Response Team) firefighters in the state, in which the Manipur Fire Service has rolled out a cutting-edge fleet of fire-fighting motorbikes.

The bike, with dual cylindrical extinguisher-equipped motorcycles, is designed to swiftly navigate narrow and congested areas, marking a significant upgrade in combating fire outbreaks across the region. In a strategic boost to emergency response capabilities, the Manipur Fire Service has rolled out a cutting-edge fleet of fire-fighting motorbikes.

These specially equipped motorcycles, designed to swiftly navigate narrow and congested areas, mark a significant upgrade in combating fire outbreaks across the region. Aimed at addressing the growing challenge of reaching inaccessible locations, the deployment includes 10 high-tech motorbikes equipped with Water Mist Fire Fighting Systems.

Each motorbike features essential firefighting equipment, including a 40-litre water tank, pipeline with spray gun system, and a 2-kg fire extinguisher for rapid intervention.

This innovative initiative is poised to drastically reduce response times and ensure effective firefighting capabilities in urban centers and hard-to-reach areas alike.

It may be mentioned that the Manipur Fire Service operates 19 Fire Stations/Sub-Stations out of the 29 authorized Fire Sub-Stations, spread across 16 District Headquarters and Sub-divisional Headquarters.
