Feb. 1, 2025: In a move to promote road safety, the District Administration of Jiribam, led by Deputy Commissioner Krishna Kumar, kicked off the final day of National Road Safety Month 2025 with the distribution of helmets to two-wheeler riders who were not wearing them.
The event, held at the Irabot Statue Complex in Babupara, also saw the presentation of simple gifts to four-wheeler drivers who were not wearing seat belts, encouraging safer driving practices.
Deputy Commissioner Kumar highlighted the critical role of helmets and seat belts in reducing the risk of injury and appealed to the public to adhere to traffic rules and stay vigilant on the roads.
The event was attended by ADC Jiribam Th. Manoranjan Singh, SDC M. Devananda Singh, EO JMC M. Surjit Singh, and officers from Jiribam Police, all of whom reinforced the importance of road safety in the district.
