Imphal, March 21, 2026: Hundreds of devotees gathered at Hafiz Hatta in Imphal on Saturday to offer Eid-ul-Fitr prayers, marking the end of the holy month of Ramadan. Worshippers assembled early at mosques and Eidgahs, participating in special congregational prayers in a peaceful and devotional atmosphere.
Following the prayers, people exchanged “Eid Mubarak” greetings and embraced one another, symbolizing unity, brotherhood, and communal harmony. The festive spirit continued as families and friends came together to share meals, inviting relatives and neighbors to join in lunch as a reflection of togetherness and joy.
Speaking to the media on the occasion, Imam Nasir Ahmad described Ramadan as a blessing from Allah and stressed the importance of expressing gratitude for the opportunity to perform good deeds during the holy month. He said that along with gratitude, one should also seek forgiveness (istighfar) from Allah.
He further appealed to the people of Manipur and the wider Muslim community to continue the same level of devotion even after Ramadan. He emphasized maintaining regular prayers, reciting the Holy Quran, and engaging in remembrance of Allah, urging everyone to remain steadfast in faith and continue performing good deeds in their daily lives.
