April 28, 2025: Acting on an FIR registered in a case of domestic violence, the state police have arrested one person, the husband of the complainant, for further investigation.
The victim is currently undergoing treatment at District Hospital Churachandpur. She has been identified as Nengneihoi, 25 years old, who was married to Mr. Naocha Khaidem of Tangjeng, under Kumbi-PS, Bishnupur District, Manipur. The victim alleged that violence was meted out against her by her husband and other members of the family.
Investigation of the case is in progress, and the husband, namely Mr. Khaidem Naocha (28 years), son of Kh. Jugindro Singh of Tangjeng Ahalup, Bishnupur under Kumbi PS, presently residing at New Checkon, Imphal East, is under police custody for further investigation.
