In an operation carried out in the general area of Saivom Village under Tengnoupal District, security forces dismantled three bunkers and recovered a large quantity of explosive devices, including 8 IEDs, 8 hand grenades, and 25 electric detonators, along with live ammunition.
The operation and area domination were conducted as part of a routine exercise at the fringes and vulnerable parts of the state.
The items recovered in the operation include 08 (eight) IEDs, 08 (eight) locally made hand grenades, 25 (twenty-five) electric detonators, 05 (five) No. 8 detonators, 40 (forty) rounds of 5.56 mm INSAS ammunition, 60 (sixty) rounds of 7.62 mm AK ammunition, and 01 (one) Motorola set with charger in the general area of Saivom Village under Tengnoupal Police Station, Tengnoupal District. Three bunkers were destroyed during the operation.
