Feb 25, 2025: The Inspector General of Police (Ops), Immanuel K. Muivah (IPS), who is also a recipient of the President’s Police Medal for Meritorious Service in 2017, has now been promoted to the post of Additional Director General of Police.
“On the recommendation of the Screening Committee Meeting held on 22nd February 2025, the Governor of Manipur is pleased to appoint by promotion Shri Immanuel K. Muivah, IPS (MA:2000), to the post of Additional Director General of Police,” said the order signed by Under Secretary (DP) M. Rabichandra, Government of Manipur.
IK Muivah is an alumnus of St. Stephen’s College, Delhi University. In September 2024, he announced that the Manipur police would hand over evidence from the drone bombing case to central investigating agencies.
