March 31, 2025: Illegal areca nuts worth ₹1.78 crore have been seized by Assam Rifles along with the Customs Preventive Force from Champhai District of Mizoram on Sunday.
The illegal items were suspected to have been brought in from Myanmar and were seized from the Tlangsam area of Champhai District, Mizoram.
