In a swift operation, Manipur Police arrested an illegal arms smuggler near Bazar India Shopping Mall in Chingmeirong under Imphal Police Station, Imphal West.
The arrested individual has been identified as Konsam Romeo Singh (50) of Sawombung Maniyaiskul, Imphal East District.
During the operation, police recovered a 9mm pistol with a magazine loaded with 10 live rounds, a mobile phone, an ID card, and cash amounting to ₹330 from his possession.
The police have registered a case and further investigation is underway.
