March 23, 2025: The 2nd day of the District Development Coordination and Monitoring Committee (DISHA) meeting for Imphal East concluded today at the Panchayat Bhavan, Imphal East DC Office Complex, Porompat. The meeting was chaired by Dr. Angomcha Bimol Akoijam, Member of Parliament for Inner Manipur Parliamentary Constituency and Chairperson of the DISHA Committee.
During the meeting, officials from various government departments, including Medical, Veterinary, Animal Husbandry, PHED, Transport, Handloom & Textile, and others, presented updates on key national and state-sponsored schemes such as NHM, JJM, PMUY, PMEGP, Khelo India, and e-SHRAM.
Reviewing the progress of these initiatives, Dr. Akoijam emphasized that DISHA meetings must be held quarterly to ensure efficient stock-taking and coordination among departments. He urged officials to maintain transparency and accountability in implementing government schemes, ensuring a real impact on sectors like health, education, infrastructure, and livelihood development.
MLA Khundrakpam AC Th. Lokeshwar, Deputy Commissioner Mayanglambam Rajkumar Singh, and other district-level officials attended the session.
