In a historic boost to aviation training in the Northeast, Imphal today became the proud host of the first Microlight SW-80 Virus aircraft simulator at the 1 Manipur Air Squadron NCC, located at the DM College campus.
The state-of-the-art simulator, developed and installed by Aer X Simulator Labs, Bangalore, was inaugurated in a grand ceremony attended by top officials including N. Prabin Singh (Secretary, Education), M. Rajkumar (DC Imphal West), Ksh. Sashikanta Singh (SP Imphal West), Dr. Nivedita Lairenlakpam (DC Imphal East), and Shyam Kamei (Deputy DGM, Imphal International Airport), among others.
This marks the first-ever installation of the Virus Microlight Simulator in Manipur under HQ DGNCC, opening new frontiers in advanced aviation training for NCC cadets of the state.
The simulator offers a near real-time flying experience, helping cadets gain vital practical skills without leaving the ground.
