After days of strikes and counter-strikes, India and Pakistan have agreed to a “full and immediate” ceasefire, India confirms ceasefire with Pakistan.
The Indian Foreign Ministry announced that, “It’s been agreed between them that both sides would stop all firing, military action on land, air, and sea with effect from 1700 hrs IST today. Instructions have been given on both sides to this understanding. The Director Generals of Military Operations will talk again on the 12th of May at 1200 hrs.”
Pakistan’s Foreign Ministry has confirmed the ceasefire previously announced by U.S. President Donald Trump. “Pakistan and India have agreed to a ceasefire with immediate effect,” Pakistan’s Deputy Prime Minister & Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar said on X.
U.S. Secretary Marco Robio also took to X to share the news of the ceasefire and said that India and Pakistan have agreed to “start talks on a broad set of issues at a neutral site.”

I am pleased to announce the Governments of India and Pakistan have agreed to an immediate ceasefire and to start talks on a broad set of issues at a neutral site.”
