Indian Army Conducts High-Tech Field Exercise in Arunachal’s Forward Areas

Kohima, Nagaland | April 15, 2025:

In a significant demonstration of operational readiness and technological advancement, the Indian Army’s Spear Corps conducted a large-scale field exercise in the forward areas of Arunachal Pradesh.

The exercise focused on integrating New Generation Equipment (NGEs) and New Generation Weapons (NGWs) in rugged, mountainous terrain, under the Army’s theme of ‘Year of Technology Absorption and Year of Transformation’.

Key elements of the drill included enhanced mobility, real-time intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance (ISR), and advanced communication systems—essential components for swift and technology-driven tactical operations.

Troops utilized cutting-edge platforms and combat systems to demonstrate faster decision-making, seamless information flow, and synchronized battlefield awareness.

The exercise reaffirmed the Indian Army’s commitment to innovation, jointness, and adaptability, preparing its forces to meet the dynamic challenges of modern warfare with enhanced combat effectiveness.
