Indian Army, DC Bishnupur Felicitate Manipur Super 50 Students

In a proud moment for Manipur, 44 out of 50 students from the Manipur Super 50 program have successfully cleared the NEET and JEE 2025 exams, with 6 of them qualifying in both. The Indian Army, in collaboration with the National Integrity and Educational Development Organisation (NIEDO), held a felicitation ceremony today at the Red Shield Centre for Excellence and Wellness in Bishnupur district to honour their achievements.

Deputy Commissioner of Bishnupur, Pooja Elangbam, attended the event alongside senior Army officials from the Red Shield Division, Additional SP Amarjeet, and NIEDO Director Dr. Rohit Shrivastava. The ceremony brought together students, parents, teachers, and officials in a celebration of academic excellence and determination.

Addressing the gathering, DC Pooja Elangbam congratulated the students for their success and acknowledged the crucial role played by the Indian Army and NIEDO in mentoring and educating young talents from underprivileged backgrounds. “This is not just a celebration of results; it is a reflection of your hard work, the support of your families, and the commitment of those who believed in your potential,” she said.

She encouraged the students to remain focused and resilient as they step into more competitive environments, and urged them to support others in their journey, become role models, and contribute positively to society.

Manipur Super 50 is a flagship education initiative supported by the Indian Army and implemented by NIEDO. The program provides free coaching, mentorship, and academic support to deserving students, many of whom come from conflict-affected or economically disadvantaged backgrounds.

Among the achievers is Philem Jenin Singh, one of Manipur’s top NEET performers this year, scoring a 97.06 percentile. Out of 18 students who appeared for JEE, 13 cleared the exam, while 37 of 41 students passed NEET.

Army and civil officials personally congratulated each student and interacted with their families, presenting prizes and words of encouragement. Parents, visibly emotional, expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Indian Army and the mentors for giving their children a new direction and hope amid difficult circumstances.

This year’s success once again highlights the transformative impact of focused educational support in empowering the youth of Manipur to compete at the national level.
