Marking Christmas despite ongoing hardship, the Indigenous People’s Forum Manipur (IPFM), under the banner of the Apunba Lup, visited the Relay Sit-in Protest site at Lamboikhongnangkhong Keithel and distributed relief materials to Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs).

The visit was held in the spirit of Christmas, invoking the name of Lord Jesus Christ and highlighting compassion and solidarity with displaced families.

On the occasion, IPFM members distributed essential items to IDPs as part of continued support for those affected by the ongoing crisis.

The initiative aimed to extend humanitarian assistance while reinforcing the message of peace and care during the festive season.

Speaking at the programme, IPFM Chief Advisor Wungnaoshang Kasar, alias Ashang Kasar, stated that such relief efforts form an integral part of standing with IDPs in their struggle for dignity, security, and rehabilitation.

He stressed that Christmas should be a reminder of love, sacrifice, and responsibility towards the suffering.

IPFM member S.M. Jalal and Thadou leader Michael Lamjathang Haokip also addressed the gathering, echoing calls for unity, justice, and sustained support for displaced communities.
