March 24, 2025: The road stretch from Oriental College area to Langjing area in Imphal West district, along NH-37, has become so deplorable that the local residents have been compelled to come out and block it.
The locals say they are forced to take up this measure, frustrated over the road condition that has continued for the last four years. The residents in Langjing area say that due to the deplorable road condition, they are suffering beyond measure.
Local people blamed the local MLA, Sapam Kunjakeshor Singh, as well as the district administration for the bad condition, and the blockage will continue in the coming days unless the authorities start road construction at standard levels, the local people echoed.
Flying dust and pollen have created health hazards for people residing in the nearby areas, particularly those engaged in commercial activities like opening shops, etc.
