‘Jai Hind Yatra’ Held in Imphal in Solidarity with Indian Soldiers and Support for Operation Sindoor

Imphal, May 9, 2025: The Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee organized a ‘Jai Hind Yatra’ in Imphal today, expressing strong solidarity with the Indian Armed Forces and supporting Operation Sindoor. The rally was led by Congress Legislative Party Leader and former Chief Minister, Okram Ibobi Singh, along with Manipur Pradesh Congress Committee President, K. Meghachandra Singh.

During the event, Okram Ibobi Singh shared his concern over the recent violence, stating, “Inhuman acts have taken place at Pahelgam, where innocent people have been eliminated. The terrorist group Lashkar-e-Toiba has claimed responsibility for this attack. They are operating from within the soil of Pakistan. This kind of war is not against the innocent people of Pakistan, but against the terrorists who threaten our nation. We, the people of India, are fully behind our forces in their fight against these terrorists.”

Participants, holding the Indian National Flag, marched through the streets of Imphal to show their unwavering support for Indian soldiers during these challenging times. The yatra reflects the unity and patriotism of the people of Manipur in standing with the nation’s defense forces.

The ‘Jai Hind Yatra’ is part of a nationwide campaign organized by the Congress Party to demonstrate support for the Indian Armed Forces and their ongoing efforts in Operation Sindoor. Okram Ibobi Singh concluded with, “We are showing our solidarity to the Indian forces, as advised by the All India Congress Committee.”
