Everything that we hear and see virtually through the screens of our digital devices is not always true, and recently, the images and visuals of ‘Archita Phukan,’ also known as ‘Babydoll Archi,’ from Assam, that created a virtual sensation on social media, are of a fictitious character created by a jilted lover, Pratim Bora, from Ghilapukhuri Road, Tinsukia, in Assam.
Dibrugarh police arrested Pratim Bora last night from Tinsukia for allegedly circulating morphed images and visuals of his former girlfriend, falsely portraying her as an upcoming porn star based in the United States.
The social media account ‘Archita Phukan,’ which later changed to ‘Amira Ishtara,’ created a virtual sensation with a wardrobe transformation reel played with the ‘Dame Un Grrr’ song and later posted various images and visuals, including a picture with Kendra Lust. Unfounded news spread across social media platforms that the woman in the account had also paid ₹25 lakh for her freedom from prostitution in New Delhi’s GB Road.
However, it has been reported that the woman and Bora were in a romantic relationship five years ago while they were living in New Delhi. After their breakup, the woman married another man and settled in Dibrugarh. The woman in question has now suffered extreme mental trauma.
Police also seized several electronic gadgets, including a laptop, two mobile phones, a desktop computer, multiple ATM cards, a hard disk, Wi-Fi equipment, and other electronics from the arrested Pratim Bora. A case has been registered under several sections of 336(4), 356(2), 74, 75, 294, and 351(2) of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS) at Dibrugarh Sadar Police Station.
