Jiribam Administration Prepares for Union Minister’s Visit; DC Chairs Review Meeting

The Jiribam district administration has begun preparations for the upcoming visit of Union Minister of State for Women and Child Development, Savitri Thakur. Deputy Commissioner Krishna Kumar chaired a comprehensive review and coordination meeting on Thursday at the DC office conference hall to assess development progress and plan the Minister’s itinerary.

The meeting reviewed the status of schemes and projects implemented by various departments in the district. The DC directed all District Level Officers to identify specific project sites suitable for ministerial inspection and to compile the names of officials responsible for executing schemes, along with lists of beneficiaries who may interact directly with the Minister.

Officials also discussed departmental responsibilities and logistical arrangements for the visit. Multiple departments delivered PowerPoint presentations outlining government initiatives, ongoing programmes, and key achievements in the district.

The Deputy Commissioner emphasised coordinated efforts to ensure that scheme implementation remains effective and that the Union Minister’s visit is well-organised and productive.

The meeting was attended by key district officials including Superintendent of Police Prakhar Pandey, Additional Deputy Commissioner Th. Manoranjan Singh, DFO E. Nirmala Chanu, SDO L. Tarajeet Singh, and heads of various departments.
