Jiribam DC Reviews Key Locations Ahead of Union Minister’s Visit

Jiribam Deputy Commissioner Krishna Kumar inspected multiple locations on Monday in preparation for the upcoming visit of Union Minister of State for Women & Child Development Savitri Thakur on November 6.

The review covered potential stopover sites including Amrit Sarovar ponds at Sonapur Zilla Parishad, Dibong Gram Panchayat and Aglapur, Anganwadi Centres at Kadamtala Mahadabpur and Kamranga Meitei, and the Reda Shakti Sadan Home at Sorok Atingbi.

During the field visit, the DC engaged with officials from the Jiribam and Borobekra Block Development Offices, directing them to ensure proper maintenance and quality upkeep of the Amrit Sarovar ponds, which are being developed for community use and public benefit.

At the Anganwadi Centres, he interacted with frontline workers and helpers, urging them to maintain accurate records on the Poshan Tracker and ensure proper documentation of beneficiaries under the Pradhan Mantri Matru Vandana Yojana and other related schemes for women and children.

He further appealed to all departments to work in coordination to ensure a smooth and successful ministerial visit.

Senior district officials, including Additional Deputy Commissioner Th. Manoranjan Singh, BDO Borobekra RK Sailash Singh, BDO Jiribam T. Janeshwor Singh, District Information Officer N. Bidyananda Singh, and DCPO H. Ibeyaima Devi, accompanied the Deputy Commissioner during the inspection.
