Jiribam, November 4: Jiribam Deputy Commissioner Krishna Kumar, IAS, carried out a field inspection of child care institutions and housing project sites on Tuesday, underscoring priority on children’s welfare and development initiatives.
During his visit to Lairembi Sanglen Children Home and Gulamchat Chingdong Child Care Institution at Chingdong Leikai, Kumar interacted with the children and assured continued support through the District Child Protection Officer. He also instructed the DCPO to coordinate routine medical check-ups with the Health Department, stressing the need for strong health monitoring.
He later inspected houses under PMAY-Gramin and PMAY-Urban in Chingdong Leikai and Lakhipur, interacting with beneficiaries and expressing satisfaction with the pace of construction.
The Deputy Commissioner was accompanied by Additional Deputy Commissioner Th. Manoranjan Singh, DIO N. Bidyananda Singh, BDO Borobekra RK. Sailash Singh, BDO Jiribam T. Janeshwor Singh, EO JMC M. Surjit Singh, and DCPO H. Ibeyaima Devi.
