Kakching, 15 December 2025 – Children at HFAO Thambal Children Home for Girls in Arong Nongmaikhong received warm clothing today under a winter support program jointly organized by the District Child Protection Unit (DCPU) and the Department of Social Welfare, with oversight from the District Administration.
The initiative is part of ongoing efforts to support children in care institutions and provide essential winter supplies. The event was attended by district officials including Sandhyarani Okram (AC to DC), Aribam Sophia (BO/JDO, DC Office), Thangjam Sangita (SDC Headquarters, SDO Kakching), Gajoo Rajkumari (DCPO, DCPU, Social Welfare Department), and H. Premkumar, Secretary of the HFAO Thambal Children Home.
This distribution follows similar programs conducted earlier this month for the children of Morning Star Children Home and BDS Children Home at Keirak Chingkhei Hunba Leikai, reinforcing the district administration’s commitment to child welfare during the winter season.
