Kakching District Wraps Up Convergence Mela Campaign at Hiyanglam

The Convergence Mela campaign organised across Kakching district under the Manipur State Rural Livelihood Mission came to an end today with the final event conducted at Hiyanglam Lai Pangalba Market Shed. The programme was hosted by the Village Level Federations of Hiyanglam Gram Panchayat under the PRI–CBO Convergence Project, with support from the District Administration and the Department of Rural Development and Panchayati Raj.

Officials from Langmeidong CD Block, SEDO Hiyanglam, and Hiyanglam Police attended the concluding programme.

A total of eleven stalls were opened by departments covering Social Welfare, Forest, Horticulture, Medical, Fisheries, Handloom, and related sectors. Citizens availed services such as PMJAY and CMHT health cards, ration cards, old-age pension applications, agriculture and fishery farmer cards, birth and death certificates, weavers cards, and yarn passbooks.

The Mela series began on October 13 at Ebhudou Mayangngamba Laibung, Thongjao Makha Leikai, and subsequently covered locations including Waikhong, Keirak, Wangoo, Wabagai, Heibong Makhong, Uchiwa, and Langmeidong. The final event was held today at Hiyanglam Gram Panchayat, formally concluding the district-wide outreach initiative.
