“Kat-thokchaba” Released on Swami Jogendra-Nandagiri Memorial Day in Wangjing

On 4th October, marking the 37th death anniversary of Swami Jogendra-Nandagiri, a Manipuri translation of the Hindi book “Samparna,” titled “Kat-thokchaba,” was released at Khorirol Sanglel Hall, Wangjing. The event was organized by Khorirol Sandoklup, Wangjing.

Tongbram Babulal, President of Khorirol Sandoklup, and B. Nabakishore Sharma, President of Haribhakta Samaj, Lamding-Wangjing, attended as chief guests. During the programme, floral tributes were paid to the Swami and the late poet Kabiraj Moirangthem Rajendra, who passed away on 29 September 2025. A two-minute silence was observed in their memory.

Writer Bhorot Sanasam spoke on the significance of the occasion and emphasized the teachings and values of Swami Jogendra-Nandagiri. The book “Kat-thokchaba” was translated by K. Shyamsunder Sharma of Khangabok Awang Leikai and contains 26 poems. This is his second published translation, following “Bhakta Haridash” from Hindi into Manipuri. Dr. Sanasam Nabadweep also discussed the book in detail during the event.

Renowned writer Shaikhom Chaoba delivered a talk on “Swami Jogendra Nandagiri and Spiritualism.” Many admirers and followers of Swami Jogendra-Nandagiri attended the programme, celebrating his life, teachings, and literary legacy.
