Manipur Police arrested an active member of the KCP (Nongdrenkhomba) group from a rented house at Kombirei Housing Complex under Lamphel Police Station, Imphal West.
The accused, identified as Salam Sadananda Singh alias Igocha alias Pari (31), was allegedly involved in extortion by issuing monetary threats to the public in and around the Imphal area. A mobile handset and an Aadhaar card were recovered from his possession.
