Security forces have arrested two active cadres of different factions of the proscribed Kangleipak Communist Party (KCP) in separate operations carried out in Kakching and Bishnupur districts of Manipur.
The first arrest was made on April 17, 2025, when an active member of KCP (PWG), identified as Soibam Boynao Meitei (43) of Wangoo Thambal Chingya, was apprehended from the Wangoo Lamkhai area under Wangoo Police Station, Kakching District. Two mobile phones were seized from his possession.
A day later, on April 18, 2025, security forces arrested a cadre of KCP (Taibanganba), identified as Khwairakpam Amarjit Singh (27), from Ningthoukhong Ward No. 13 under Bishnupur Police Station, Bishnupur District. One mobile phone was recovered from him.
