Security forces have arrested an active member of the banned militant group KCP (PWG) for extortion and recruitment activities in Moirang. The operation was carried out at Moirang Khoiru Mayai Lambi, Ward No. 10, under Moirang Police Station in Bishnupur District.
The arrested individual has been identified as Angom Ibochouba Singh, alias Lanchaba alias Punshiba (49). According to officials, he was actively involved in extorting money from the general public, local businessmen, cement godowns, and government institutions in the Moirang area. Additionally, he played a key role in recruiting new cadres for the outlawed group.
Authorities have intensified their investigation to uncover his network and other potential links to the organization. Security forces have urged the public to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activities related to militant groups.
