Imphal, Feb 3: In a crackdown on underground elements, Manipur Police arrested an active member of the proscribed KCP (PWG), identified as Leihaothabam Nanao Sharma, alias Puremba (29), from Lamphel Super Market, Imphal West.
The accused was actively involved in extorting money from the general public, government officials, and shopkeepers across Greater Imphal, according to Manipur Police.
During the arrest, police seized a mobile phone and a SIM card from his possession.
