Feb. 16, 2025: The ten Kuki-Zo MLAs from Manipur, who have been demanding a separate administration, have expressed their hope for a negotiated settlement to bring about peace and justice in the state.
In a statement, they acknowledged the Government of India’s decision to place the state assembly under suspended animation but emphasized the importance of the central government outlining a comprehensive political roadmap to address the ongoing conflict.
The MLAs called for time-bound measures to alleviate the suffering of the conflict-affected and internally displaced people, urging that a lasting resolution be reached to end the hardships faced by the community.
