Imphal, May 17: The situation in Manipur remains tense but under control. In the past 24 hours, coordinated cordon and search operations were conducted across fringe and vulnerable areas in both hill and valley districts by Manipur Police and Central Forces.

- From Nungjengbi Urup Hill (Imphal East):
One .303 rifle with magazine, one 9 mm pistol with three magazines, one country-made pistol, six live 9 mm rounds, three .303 LMG magazines, seven carbine magazines, six 7.62 mm rounds, 19 AK-47 rounds (5.56 mm), one wood-piercing shell, 410 empty 7.62 mm cases, mini flare tube launchers, tear/chili smoke shells, Motorola wireless batteries, all stored in a white sack. - From Kailenjang village (Senapati District):
Two bolt action single-barrel rifles, one .22 bolt action rifle, one 9 mm pistol with magazine, two live rounds, ten 7.62 mm rounds. - From Kharungpat near Buffalo Farm (Kakching District):
One carbine with empty magazine, four bolt action rifles, one revolver, three No. 36 hand grenades, one 51 mm mortar shell, empty cases of AK, .303, and SLR rifles, smoke grenades, tear smoke shells, a Baofeng handheld set, tactical gear, and bags.
