The last remains of 22-year-old Nganthoi Sharma, the cabin crew member of the ill-fated flight (AI 171) that crashed on June 12, were received with dignity and honour at Bir Tikendrajit International Airport in Imphal today, and her last rites are to be performed at her native village in Thoubal district of Manipur.
Both the Angels of Sky from Manipur, who took their last flight on June 12, have reached Manipur now. The 25-year-old Laminate Singson was laid to rest in Kangpokpi earlier with honour.
Before the tragedy, one told her mother that she had a duty to report and a flight to catch, and the other texted her sister for the last time that they were going to take off.
Both the Angels reached here, as per information on the afternoon of June 12, moments after the tragedy.
Both young and ambitious, who wanted to take their career and carrier to greater heights, but went together in service.
