March 14, 2025: A freight truck was reportedly overturned by unidentified individuals on the National Highway in Kangpokpi District, Manipur.Despite the alleged presence of security forces, such incidents continue to occur.
The truck was carrying mattresses for a departmental store in Imphal West.
Concerns have been raised regarding the alleged leniency of the central and state governments towards illegal immigrants from the Chin-Kuki-Zo communities. These groups have persistently advocated for a separate administration, carved out of Manipur.
Various stakeholders, including officials from the Home Ministry, Raj Bhavan Manipur, and security forces such as Spear Corps, Army, CRPF, BSF, and Manipur Police, are being urged to take decisive action.
