As part of the “One District One Activity” initiative, the Lions Club of Imphal donated 40 steel water bottles and food items to Destitute Children Home, Tera Keithel.
Club President Lion PMJF Manas Maisnam said the steel bottles will help reduce plastic use among the 40 boys staying at the Home.
The Club also donated two bags of rice, one bag each of potato and onion, daal, milk, tea, sugar, and ngari.
In observance of the centenary of Helen Keller’s “Knights of the Blind” speech (1925–2025), Lion PMJF Prof. W. Gopimohan, Past District Governor, delivered a keynote lecture on Keller’s legacy and Lions’ global SightFirst initiative, which has benefited over 544 million people since 1990.
